Das ehemahlige Bauernhaus (Bj 1850) ist ruhig gelegen auf einem ca. 2.500 m² großen Grundstück und befindet sich nahezu in Alleinlage. Seine zentrale Lage macht sie besonders ansprechend. Tagesausflüge zur Nord- und Ostsee sind von hier aus problemlos zu gestalten. Auch Städte mit diversen kulturellen Angeboten wie Husum, Flensburg oder Schleswig sind schnell erreicht. Selbst ein Abstecher zu unseren dänischen Nachbarn ist innerhalb von nur 30 Minuten möglich.

Woher stammt der Name Hoyböl?

Der Name Hoyböl bezeichnet das Landstück östlich vom Hünengrab „Langenhokbarg“, welches direkt hinter unserem Haus auf einer kleinen Anhöhe liegt. Einer Volkssage nach befand sich dort einst ein Wikingerdorf, genannt Hoyböl. Urnenfelder und Pfahlwerk einer Hafenanlage bestätigten dies bei früheren Ausgrabungen. In jener Zeit war die Nordsee von hier aus ca 2 km entfernt und durch einen Priel zu erreichen.
